d AKA Murkee has been into the jungle sound for 3 years. A DJ and
Producer of electronic music for 6 years. Originally, he began in
San Angelo picking up DJ skills from the DJs at a local night club
in 1997. In 1998, he began to spin break beat and Big beat. In 1999,
after a move to Austin, a friend introduced him to the dark side of
jungle.
From 99 to 2001 he
concentrated on production and Live performances of drum n bass. In
May of 2001 he performed a live PA battle with Soundwave, MC Chango,
and DJ Mea (on Backup vocals). Then in june, performed his first
DJ/PA set at TX Zen Fest on the Flux Entertainment stage. In
November of 01, he opened the Drum N Bass tent at Atlantis. Then
again on a very cold 2002 New Years.
In January of 2002, his dream
was a reality when the Bass Epidemic Sound System came together for
a special show at Asylum. Recently, He has begun to strengthen his
DJ skills and find a solid sound in jungle, A resident DJ at Meneo
(Austin, TX) and founding member of Bass Epidemic. He has begun to
stray from any specific roll in music and is now pushing new strong
talent and working on press production. |
